HIDE/SEEK: Difference and Desire in American Portraiture has been shown in two East Coast cities and is now making its one and only West Coast appearance at the Tacoma Art Museum. With a focus on sexuality and gender identity, the exhibit's works explore how renowned artists like Annie Leibovitz, Robert Mapplethorpe, Andy Warhol, and many, many others have expressed this important part of their lives over the years.
