international competition brought visitors to pierce county from more than 30 countries
The TRCVB hosted a Pierce County information table during the Air Mobility Rodeo at Joint Base Lewis McChord. We welcomed incoming troops while their airlift competition teams arrived on base, typically flying their own planes!
For more than two weeks straight, we had the privilege of welcoming nearly 1,500 participants of the Rodeo (about 3,000 attended and participated, but we saw about half of them arrive while we were there). I was accompanied by Moira Davin our Sales Manager to welcome the participants from countries around the world such as Spain, Israel, South Korea and Cameroon, as well as about 30 more. The airlift teams were excited to learn about our region.

We had a great experience meeting troops from around the world. The Air Mobility Rodeo is a biennial, international airlift competition hosted by the U.S. Air Force Air Mobility Command, and they'll be back to visit Pierce County in 2013.
